Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019/2020 is in the books. Let’s sum up all the new trends. Italian brands, along with French ones, are the biggest players in the fashion world. Marketing Ana has summarized some of the most noticeable trends, many of them which can be readily adapted to your wardrobe.
New York Fashion Week has already confirmed that putting on leather from head to toe will be trendy. If you have long been haunted by Trinity’s leather look, it`s time to try it on yourself. Black leather coats are part of the collections of several fashion houses.
Among them Blumarine, Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti and Tods. Bottega Veneta complemented its leather suits with heavy high soles boots, thereby turning their models into bikers.
Marni supplemented their gloomy collection with chains, chokers, and black lipstick.
However, if you do not want to try on the Matrix look with leather coats and suits, elegant leather dresses from Salvatore Ferragamo will satisfy your appetite for this black leather trend.
In contrast to the bold, total black leather, Italian designers offered total white looks. Alberta Ferretti, Iceberg, and Fendi demonstrate how to match a white suit with white coat, white shoes and white accessories.
Dolce and Gabbana completed their total white look with black flats. Сombinations of black shoes and white clothes were also offered by No. 21 and Jil Sander. Gucci used a lot of white outfits and mixed them with gold accessorizes.
Almost the entire collection of the Genny brand was represented by total white looks. If the leather total black seems to hot for spring and summer, then total white can definitely inspire your wardrobe today.
Many designers have presented capes for every taste and color.
Сomitted to their style, Missoni made a couple of flowing knitted capes. Dolce & Gabbana once again presented a pompous colorful collection. Their capes were decorated with fur and embroidered flowers.
Black leather cape were presented by Salvatore Ferragamo, while black suede was on display by Giorgio Armani. Unusual capes were showcased by Prada and Gucci. Prada created its cape from black lace, while Gucci crafted a structural gray cape that was combined with a gray midi skirt.
Over The Knee Boots
Over the knee boots, which have been a must have for several seasons, have not conceded their positions among the trends.
Replacing narrow and tight legging-like fabric boots, are more loose-fitting, leather varieties. At least, Roberto Cavalli, Blumarine, Versace and Max Mara presented exactly this kind of model.
In the upcoming fall season designers will offer flowing asymmetrical and short knitted dresses to combine with over the knee leather boots. Also, bright double breasted jackets and camel coats go well with the boots.
Along with black and white color, many designers presented gray total looks. Almost all Italian brands agreed that gray is a new black. Monochrome suits and dresses were used in almost every collection this year.
Gucci mixed grey classic jackets with midi skirts or baggy pants. Alberta Ferretti and Versace used feminine silhouettes for their gray sets. Salvatore Ferragamo presented oversized overalls and asymmetric dresses in gray.
Max Mara presented classical models complemented with blue shawls and black accessories. Marni, whose collection seemed like a punk manifest, diluted their total gray looks with white blouses. Also, the rock-and-roll spirit was honored and highlighted with an abundance of chains at the waist and neck.
Baggy clothes will stay trendy for at least one more season. Monochrome sets of wide pants and jackets were presented by many Italian designers.
Salvatore Ferragamo and Jil Sande displayed navy overside looks. Meanwhile, Vivetta and Emilio Pucci presented more cheerful prints of flowers and geometrical figures. Oversized leather jackets in black and red were shown by Marni. Oversized jackets with massive shoulders, reminiscent of the 90s, were presented by Gucci.
